The cause of the thermowell of bimetal thermometer fracture

Thermowell is mainly used for industrial equipment and bimetal thermometer matching use,with it, we can easily dismantle bimetal thermometer. However, in the processof use, sometimes the bimetal thermometer thermowell will be broken. The factors that cause the thermowell broken are as follows:

1.     The thermowell is impacted by high-speed fluid, the load is too large, and the stress exceeds the extreme speed.

2.     The processing defects lead to stress concentration and fracture.

3.     The vibration of the use environment is too large, causing fatigue damage to the thermowell.

4.     When the liquid flows through the thermowell , the vibration of the bimetal thermometer thermowell is induced, that is, the natural frequency of the thermowell and the vortex shedding  frequency of the fluid produce resonance. This kind of resonance phenomenon causes the damage speed of the thermowell to accelerate until it breaks.
